The proper usage of Integrated Field Theory™

This site exists to inform the public of the proper usage of the phrase Integrated Field Theory™ as it was intended by its author, James Scott Cahall.

01

Why "Integrated," not "Unified"

The name Integrated Field Theory™ was chosen deliberately to contrast with "Unified Field Theory," the phrase coined by Albert Einstein and used by those who support and believe in his General and Special Relativity construct, treating it as essential to any general theory of physics.Integrated Field Theory™ is the title of a non-standard model textbook, first collated in 1995 and in continued development since, authored by James Scott Cahall. This site exists to inform the public of the proper usage of that phrase as Cahall intended it.

02

A textbook built on analytical attitude

The IFT™ textbook was written on the premise that the quality of science education depends on students learning to have an analytical attitude: developing the aptitude to recognize biased language, and cultivating open-mindedness and awareness of alternative ideas about reality. It introduces students to the fact that there are rational alternatives to the orthodox, "established" theories and models generally known as versions of Standard Model theory.

03

Challenging relativity and E = mc²

In this text, Cahall specifically challenges the soundness of Einstein’s General and Special Relativity, and the validity of the famous E = mc² version of kinetic theory, which came to be held out as a conversion factor for the mass-energy relationship.

04

Quantization without an arbitrary constant

Cahall also contests the foundational claim underlying quantum theory, based on Max Planck’s introduction of an arbitrary constant that seemed sensible mathematically. In the IFT™ textbook, he explains that the appearance of quantization is merely the result of the unitization of frequency, wavelength, and time.

05

Photon, neutrino, and the origin of matter

This text offers a fully unified theory of the nature of the fundamental forces. It identifies the photon as a particle synonymous with the neutrino in terms of mass and EM force generation. The neutrino is identified as the low-energy primordial particle out of which all matter is ultimately composed, and from which all EM field energy emanates.

06

Gravity as net residual EM force

This theoretical work recognizes gravity as the ambient net residual EM force, predicted to be the inevitable result of the relative proximity of interactive attractive forces versus the net repulsive forces on all scales of reality.

07

Corrected classical definitions

The text provides corrected definitions of classically defined constructs including work, kinetic energy, time, space, and centripetal force. It insists that the functional rate of all forms of clocks are conditional, and that any variation in their function is not an indication of variation in time itself, as asserted very creatively by Einstein.IFT™ challenges the long-held acceptance and algebraic use of squared velocity and time, or any other one-dimensional entity, and upholds the classical principle of relativity and the fundamental definitions of velocity, time, and space that Einstein tried to deny.

08

A new periodic chart

In this text, Cahall clarifies the nature of the interaction between protons and orbital electrons, and provides a visual representation in the form of a unique IFT™ periodic chart that makes sense of the fact that the traditional chart has a pattern of repeating numbers of elements in successive periods.

09

Heat, pressure, and three dimensions

In IFT™, Cahall provides a lucid explanation for the contrasting nature of heat and pressure in terms of rotational versus linear momentum.Cahall contests any mathological theoretical system which proposes that there are more than three actual physical dimensions to reality.

10

A cold, dark, primordial void

In IFT™, Cahall offers and supports a cosmological view of the primordial universe as a non-relativistic cloud of primordial particles, which condensed gradually to form neutron particles — spawning the creation of the elements and the eventual acceleration of the formation of the stellar systems evident in the current era. This view is sometimes referred to as a "cold dark void."

11

Quasars, active galactic nuclei, and Black Holes

Cahall boldly offers an explanation for some exceptional apparent stellar systems, such as quasars and active galactic nuclei, but discounts the validity of the presumption that a collapsing star could produce a so-called Black Hole.

Integrated Field Theory™ is presented as a serious theoretical proposal and an active line of inquiry, not as established scientific consensus. It is offered here for study, discussion, and critique, with full credit to its author, James Scott Cahall.
